Highlights

Nokia 2 is expected to come with a 4000mAh battery
The Nokia 2 will be a entry-level smartphone
It can be expected in two colours - Black and White
Earlier this week, HMD Global's much anticipated budget smartphone Nokia 2 was reported to bear a 4000mAh battery inside - the biggest amongst the Nokia branded smartphones launched so far. Now, leaked press renders of Nokia 2 have appeared, revealing a head-to-toe look of the smartphone, thanks to the popular tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks. The renders also reveal that the Nokia 2 is going to have at least two colour variants - Black and White.
Blass on Twitter shared the image renders of Nokia 2 in two colours. The Nokia 2 can be seen having navigation buttons rendered on the screen instead of physical ones, one camera each on front and rear ends, wherein the rear camera will be placed inside the familiar circular island with an LED flash. There is no fingerprint scanner on the smartphone though, cementing its status as an entry-level smartphone. A speaker grille can be seen at the right side on the back, with the Nokia branding above in the centre. The Nokia 2 appears to be running stock Android as well, and the version could be Oreo, as per the recently spotted US FCC documents.
While all of the above mentioned things are clearly visible in plain view, there's also one detail that could possibly suggest the launch date of Nokia 2. The time and date on the Nokia 2's display suggest that the smartphone could be launched on October 5. However, this timeline is not official and should be taken with a grain of salt.
As for the specifications based on the leaks and reports so far, the Nokia 2 is expected to house entry level specifications such as a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. Besides this, the Nokia 2 should ideally pack 4000mAh battery inside, according to its most recent report. On the pricing, it is expected to cost less than the Nokia 3.

Galaxy S8 price drop could be Samsung Galaxy S9’s biggest downfall
EXPRESS
SAMSUNG’S new Galaxy S9 is now available to pre-order but the Galaxy S8’s new lower price could cause this new flagship some issues.

Samsung Galaxy S8 price drop
The wait for the Samsung Galaxy S9 is almost over with the device finally arriving in stores next Friday, March 16.
This updated and refreshed smartphone is bringing a swathe of improvements over its predecessor including more power and a much-improved better camera.
There’s even the inclusion of a dual-lens rear snapper on the larger Galaxy S9+, the first time this has been seen on the S range of phones, and a small redesign now sees the fingerprint scanner moved to a more convenient position.
Clearly, there’s plenty to like about the S9 and S9+ but one of its biggest problems may come in the form of the award-winning Galaxy S8.
This device continues to see its prices fall with a new deal from Mobiles.co.uk offering £50 off the upfront cost of the smartphone.
Using the code 50OFFVODA, fans can get an S8 for £23 per month with an upfront cost of £160.
This includes 4GB of 4G data plus unlimited calls and texts.
Like most offers of this type there’s a two year contract to sign with the total price over that period coming out at £712.
Compare that to the new Galaxy S9 which currently costs £739 SIM-free - that's £20 more expensive than this fully-loaded S8 contract.
There’s no question that the S9 is superior to the S8 but with similar looks and many identical features it’s not surprising last year’s model appears like a very good deal.
This may be being proved by latest rumours that suggest the S9 pre-orders are not as good as Samsung may have hoped.
According to the Yonhap News Agency, it seems sales for the S9 are similar if not lower than the S8 was this time last year.
“We believe that the preorders for the Galaxy S9 are similar to that of the Galaxy S8,” an official from Samsung Electronics said speaking to the outlet.
Officials from a local carrier added: "Customers may be finding the Galaxy S9 not much different from other smartphones.
"The popularity and customers' interest are not as high compared to the previous model."
And another report suggests things may not be looking so positive for sales.
According to Analyst Jeff Johnston he said sources from the sales channel reported pre-orders "are down 50% over GS8.
Time will tell if the Galaxy S9 will be a big hit but with Apple's iPhone X also not thought to be selling as well as first thought this could be a sign smartphone fans are happy with what they already own.
